5 Bloggers That Have Turned Sharing Workouts on Social Media Into an Artform

Each year we become more reliant on social media, and now, for most of us, the first thing that we do in the morning is check Instagram or Facebook for the latest updates. Given that this is our mindset, it should come as no surprise that sharing workouts on social media has become increasingly popular.

It's not for everyone, and a study conducted by researchers at Brunel University in London revealed that what people post on social media is often linked to their personality traits—narcissists are the ones who constantly share their accomplishments and achievements online. So for some, sharing their workouts is narcism, but for others, these workouts truly serve as a means of inspiration because it encourages us to start eating healthy and become fit.

According to The Des Moines Register, assistant professor of multimedia at Drake University, Chris Snider, revealed that "working out is the best of us so people like to post about it when they're doing that sort of thing." And with this in mind, we've decided to highlight some of the top fitness bloggers on Instagram to serve as motivation to change your own lifestyle.

Rachel Brathen (@yoga_girl): What I like so much about Rachel Brathen is that she makes yoga look fun, and she does her poses in many interesting settings. Her captions are also motivational (for example, "Breathe and be thankful for all that is") and she's a mom—she even shared her yoga journey as a pregnant woman.

Jeannette Jenkins (@msjeanettejenkins) is a celebrity trainer who makes working out look really, really fun. She has over 400,000 followers on her Instagram account, and with good reason, because she shares multiple workouts and healthy recipes (consisting of actual food, not just a lettuce leaf and a few nuts) to inspire a lifestyle change.

Nude Yoga Girl (@nude_yogagirl) has chosen to remain anonymous so I can't tell you her name, but what I can tell you is that her photos are tasteful and different. Her posts make you feel proud of the female form and realize that there is nothing vulgar about being nude, it also doesn't have to be sexual.

Lita Lewis (@FollowtheLita) has an Instagram following of 443,000 and counting. She left her corporate job to follow her fitness dreams and share her journey with others. Speaking of this, she told Business Insider, "All of a sudden my secure, well-paying gig not only wasn't fulfilling, but it was taking away my time and energy that I wanted to be dedicated to what is now my life purpose: to help others develop the best versions of themselves, especially in times of hardships." And if that's not motivational, then I don't know what is.

Hannah Fallis Bronfman (@hannahbronfman) is a DJ and founder of HBFIT (a site dedicated to providing information on health, beauty, and fitness). What makes Bronfman worth following is that she has really great pictures and has somehow managed to find the perfect (and I mean perfect) balance between posts on fashion and fitness.
