7 Celebs Who Hate Working out as Much as You Do

Living in Hollywood has its advantages but one of the disadvantages is the constant pressure for celebrities to adhere to a certain image. The people you look up to and are inspired by didn’t get their bodies overnight either, or did they? Below are seven celebs who have shared just how much they hate working out, and it’s refreshing and honest — they may even hate exercise as much as you do.

A hilarious quote about exercise came from the late Joan Rivers, who is quoted as saying, “I don’t exercise. If God had wanted me to bend over, he would have put diamonds on the floor.”

Sports Illustrated model Hannah Davis does work out, but she’s no big fan of exercise and her comments during an interview with The Cut were brutally honest. She said, "I hate the gym, like most people. But it's one of those things where you feel good when it's over. When I'm in NYC, I use the gym in my building. I do the elliptical and lift weights on it for about 40 minutes, trying not to fall off. If you were to see me, you would be like, She's really multitasking! But really I'm just trying to get it done as quickly as possible."

Sofia Vergara has a stunning figure, but it takes a lot of motivation to get her to the gym. She reportedly told New York Times she lacks motivation for going to the gym, in fact, she even referred to it as her “torture time.” She added, “So of course, I try to avoid it or make excuses every time. But I do try to do it at least three times a week if I'm not shooting. I wish I loved it. Believe me, I wish."

Keira Knightley is one celeb who really can’t stand the idea of a healthy balanced diet and regular gym sessions. She told S magazine in 2014, "I don't think about nutrition. The very thought of a diet makes me want chips and ice cream. And I just hate going to the gym. I cannot stand it." I know what you’re thinking, how the heck does she look so good? But perhaps for some people, it’s all down to genetics.

Eva Mendes is total goals, but her struggles when it comes to keeping fit endear us to her even more. When she collaborated with Reebok for their EasyTone shoes campaign, she didn’t pretend that exercise was the most enjoyable thing ever, rather she chose to remind everyone we all have the same struggles. She said, "Although I’m like every other woman and I don't say Yay! I'm gonna be at the gym for two hours, it's still extremely beneficial."

Rihanna is yet another celeb who isn't excited about exercise. For her, she finds going to a gym can be so repetitive, so when she’s working out she’s always finding new ways to do it. She told Vogue, "I hate going to the gym and doing it the old-fashioned way. I hate anything that's too straightforward, too routine, too familiar. I get bored really, really quickly."

Blake Lively previously told PopSugar that she hates the gym, so she gets creative when it comes to staying fit. She is quoted as saying, "I've said before I hate the gym. I eat chocolate; yes, that part is true. But what they don't print is I hate the gym, so what I do instead is find other ways to be active: I ride bicycles, I hike, I go out and exercise in nature, and I'm active that way."
